The Gordon Research Seminar on X-Ray Science is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. X-ray science is progressing with an increasing rate thanks to the availability of state-of-the-art facilities such as new generation synchrotrons, XFELs, as well as high performance computing facilities. In this meeting, the focus will be on novel ways of implementing x-ray based tools in conjunction with computational techniques to reveal the internal structures of nanomaterials. By bringing young researchers with computational and experimental backgrounds together, the power of interdisciplinary research in solving the problem of imaging and characterization of nanomaterials will be highlighted.
